SUMMARY:The Horse in the Heart
DESCRIPTION:  \n  \nDiana Hand has created a series of large and medium scale equestrian drawings for this exhibition\, using different media to explore new ideas and to develop her work beyond either a conventional representation or a rapid sketch.  She referred to the writings of Gottfried Bammes to learn more about the anatomical structure of the horse and\, with that structure\, to experiment freely with media such as charcoal and watercolour washes.  She discovered a surreal and dream-like world of imaginary horses from the past.  This relates to the strong unconscious appeal that the horse continues to have for humans. \nPrivate view:  Friday 7th October  6-8 pm           Late night opening:  Wednesday 12th October till 8 pm.

DESCRIPTION:EDINBURGH CHRISTMAS CRAFT FAIR\n3D/2D’s core activity is organising events that provide makers\, designers\, craftworkers and artists with venues where they can exhibit their work and sell directly to the public. The origins of the organisation go all the way back to the 1980s. The first fairs were held in Edinburgh in the Assembly Rooms.
