“Piebald Family #2”

This is a series about a family of cobs living in  field near my house.  I have watched them for years as they change and grow and have new offspring each year.

They are very independent in spirit.  I like that about them and I also  like the patterning on their coats.  I have tried in this series to focus on the shapes and to become more abstract.  In this painting I started to experiment with colour.
