“Pure Lusitano”

Charcoal and pastel study from a photograph by Keron Psillas Oliviera in her book “Lusitano” I visited the Royal Stables in Cordoba in 2025 and was privileged to watch the riders and horses as they trained and exercised. In the evenings there is a formal display, but I really enjoyed the more relaxed and intimate atmosphere of the practice sessions. Most of the drawings in this exhibition are based on my photographs but in this case I have used Keron Oliviera’s work as a starting point.
