I spotted a TV programme about a rewilding project in Norfolk – Wicken Fen.  A herd of wild Polish Konik horses is kept on the reserve.  My attention was caught instantly by the dignity and independence of these mares and their foals.  I have made a series of painting to express their sense of independence and closeness.
