Charcoal and pastel study of a stable scene at the Royal Stables, Cordoba. I visited Cordoba in 2025 and was privileged to watch the riders and horses as they trained and exercised. In the evenings there is a formal display, but I really enjoyed the more relaxed and intimate atmosphere of the stables and practice sessions. The care and bond with horses and riders is very evident and special. These informal moments fascinate me.
