“Dark Horse” the reinvention

Hurrah!  This week I have revisited an oil painting made for an exhibition “The Nature of the Horse” (2022).  I also checked a study made of Christian Hook’s work (not shown here) and took inspiration from his magical combination of traditional drawing and painting techniques with a hugely expressive use of paint.  This is just the start for me as working this way feels natural.  It is full of movement which exactly expresses my mood when I want to capture the energy of the horse and how it resonates with me.
